After our car broke down on Rt 80, 300 miles from home, and we needed to wait a week for a replacement engine to arrive and be installed, we were given a ride to the local DuBois airport free of charge. Amazing people who know how to be not only great at their job but also great people. I can't thank them enough.
McDowells is an excellent, honest repair shop. Mr. McDowell went out of his way, after closing, to help us. The work done was excellent. Most importantly, he is honest! Not always the easiest to find in a mechanic. I would definatly recommend McDowells!
As other people have written, Mr. McDowell is very kind. My truck broke down on highway 80 and after calling various mechanics around the area early in the morning, he was the only one who answered and nicely told me that he'd get someone to tow my truck in just a few minutes. And after just 2 hours my truck was ready to go. He even brought my truck to the motel where I was staying. He is an incredible mechanic. The price was also very reasonable. I definitely recommend him!!!
